Safely in the home of Chester Bernade, the natural historian is presented with a letter from an old friend who is in serious trouble.

Fleeing away on a ship headed to England, the investigators hope that putting distance between the more immediate threat of those chasing them will provide them with the breathing room.

The investigators decide to finally relax after it seems that they have defeated the Black Knife cult once and for all.

Terrible pun aside, the crew of the Humility are poised to enter the abandoned mining facility to search for the space pirates who had killed Henningham. Will they find the answer they seek or a fail of bullet fire? Or will they find both?

The crew, armed with renewed vigor, are presented with an opportunity to profit and possibly get some paypack, but at what cost? Will it involve even more danger then before but with the benefit of knowing some of the risks before they get involved?
